A 365 California Spyder was the very last of the coach-built Ferrari’s, built to satisfy their wealthiest clientele.
Designed by Pininfarina and fitted with a 4390 cc V12 Colombo engine. The engine features a single overhead camshaft per bank and was assigned the factory type reference 217B, featuring a bore and stroke of 81mm X 71mm and ‘outside plugs’. The engine was coupled to a five-speed all synchromesh gearbox, with drive taken through a propeller shaft to a rigid rear axle.
Only 14 of these magnificent motorcars were ever produced and this particular car is presented in its original colour combination and still retains its original chassis, body, engine and gearbox as confirmed by its Ferrari ‘Red Book’ Classiche certification.
Totally restored in the 1990s and still presents very fresh from that restoration. Complete with its tool roll, jack, Ferrari ‘Red Book’ Classiche certification binder and a comprehensive history file.
