New Arrival: A Miura with Celebrity Status

07th April 2025

We have just launched for sale this stunning 1967 Lamborghini Miura P400. This isn’t just any Miura—it’s a meticulously restored masterpiece with a star-studded past, driven on the big screen by one of the most beautiful women of the 20th century, Nathalie Delon.

During 1968, the car was used in the cult French film ‘La leçon particulière’, where it appeared as the car driven by the female protagonist, Frédérique, who was played by the beautiful Nathalie Delon, wife of the enigmatic Alain Delon. In the 1960s, Alain and Nathalie Delon were the ‘it couple’ of the day and they were at the height of the golden age of French cinema. In ‘La leçon particulière’, where a teenage student falls in love with Frédérique who is the 25-year old wife of a race car driver, the Miura can be seen weaving its way through the streets of Paris in true style, making every other car pale into insignificance.

Chassis 3111 was completed at the end of August 1967 and was delivered new to Voitures Paris Monceau on the 2nd September. It was finished in the stunning, and very fitting for the period, colour combination of Giallo Miura over a Blu interior, with only 40 P400s being finished in Giallo Miura from new. The car was built with a selection of technical updates, including a reinforced front cross member and an additional spacer under the alternator pulley to optimise its operation.

It was delivered to Voitures Paris Monceau at the same time as chassis 3108 and they were the first two Miuras to be delivered to Paris. Chassis 3111 was registered with the Parisian number 558 VA 75 and was sold by the dealership to French investor and racing driver Philippe Cornet-Epinat, who had a keen interest in Italian marques, also owning a number of Maseratis and a Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona which he prepared for racing.

Chassis 3111 is a beautiful example of the purest iteration of this iconic Miura model line, the P400. It is fresh from a world-class restoration and is ready to be used and enjoyed by its next custodian. It represents a fantastic opportunity to purchase a Miura that is finished in one of the most attractive and evocative period colours and one that gained stardom through its appearance in a well-known film from the golden age of French cinema, ‘La leçon particulière’.
