One of only 84 UK supplied, right-hand drive examples ever produced.
First announced on 8th April 2010, the Ferrari 599 GTO was designed and built by Maranello as a road-legal version of the £1.3m 599XX track car and at the time, claimed the title of Ferraris fastest ever road car. Powered by its V12 engine churning out 661bhp, it was able to lap the Fiorano test circuit in just 1 minute 24 seconds, one second faster than the Ferrari Enzo. Named after its mouth-watering 5999cc power displacement the 599 GTO had big shoes to fill, being only the third GTO designated model behind the legendary duo of the 250 GTO and 288 GTO. With a 0-62mph of 3.3 seconds and a top speed of over 208mph it’s safe to say the 599 GTO certainly delivered.
Our stunning UK supplied, only two-owner from new example was specified in the rare and historic Ferrari colour of Blu Scozia over a Blu Scuro leather and Alcantara interior, an expensive option at the time but certainly worth every penny as it’s for sure one of the most attractive 599 GTOs we’ve ever handled or seen. Other factory optional extras included; carbon fibre engine compartment, carbon fibre headlamp buckets, carbon fibre racing seats, driver seat adjustment device, coloured seat belts, road-legal roll bar, Blu Scuro upper trim and door, steering wheel in Blu Scuro, Giallo instrument panel, special stitching in Blu, tunnel glove compartment, Ferrari telematic navigation system, Bose Hi-Fi system, Ferrari iPod connection, elegant interior trimming, additional special trim, dedication plate in silver, carbon fibre door sills, aluminium brake calipers, rear parking sensors and Navtrak anti-theft system.
The two previous owners of this car are both extremely well-known and respected Ferrari collectors in the UK. From new it’s resided along the likes of a 250 SWB, 275 GTB/C, 250 Lusso and all the Ferrari supercars. It’s been maintained without regard to cost or with thought of its low mileage which is evidenced by its following maintenance history:
